America’s Political Crisis
If you look at Washington today and feel like the system is no longer built to solve problems, you are right. You are watching the result of a fifty-year structural shift.
Over the last several decades, the two major political parties underwent a total transformation from community-based coalitions into highly sophisticated marketing operations and have permanently gravitated to the ideological extremes. Both parties now demand partisan compliance and actively punish any willingness to compromise. That is why Congress now passes a fraction of the legislation it once did decades ago, regardless of which party is in charge.
This retreat to the fringes has created a massive void in American politics. According to the latest Gallup survey, 45 percent of voters representing roughly 60 million Americans no longer identify as either a Republican or a Democrat.
The Need for Change
The Center Voter exists to explore what comes next. We are the publication of the Centercratic Party, a new political organization built to give the political center a genuine home. Everything we do is anchored in our nine guiding principles that prioritize evidence, dignity, and practical problem-solving.
What We Bring to You
Every week, we publish original reporting and analysis. We investigate government failures using the data and auditor reports that rarely make the evening news. We examine hard policy problems and map out what practical, evidence-based solutions actually look like.
Whether you consider yourself a Republican, a Democrat, an independent, or simply an American trying to make sense of a broken system, you are welcome here. We are not here to tell you what to think. We are here to provide the thoughtful, unvarnished information you need to evaluate our political landscape and where we go from here.
We Want to Hear From You
